Bible Reading: Genesis 1-2; Matthew 1
Memory verse: “And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness: and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth. Genesis 1:26 (KJV)
God saw you before He created you. He saw what and who you are, what you are to do and where you will best function in this life. The country you were born into was not a mistake neither is the family you were born into. Even the family Jesus was born into was for a reason. Mary and Joseph were chosen by God to be the earthly mother and father of Jesus and the town He was born was not a mistake either. All was God’s divine plan. The fact that you were made means you were worth investing in because God never creates anything without a purpose.
The Bible tells us in Jeremiah 1:5 (KJV), “Before I formed thee in the belly I knew thee; and before thou camest forth out of the womb I sanctified thee, and I ordained thee a prophet unto the nations.” You didn’t get here by accident. God saw you before He went to work on you. He had prepared you for greatness even before you were born. Genesis 1:26 (KJV) God said, “Let us make man in our own image and likeness.” Do you know what that means that “You were made in His image and likeness?”
God was deliberate about the creation of man. Genesis 2:5 (KJV) tells, “And every plant of the field before it was in the earth, and every herb of the field before it grew: for the LORD God had not caused it to rain upon the earth, and there was not a man to till the ground.” God did not allow things to grow because there is no man to manage it. You are here on earth today for a purpose. That family, business, church, school, etc have been waiting for you long before you came by God’s plan to impact them with that which God has invested in you. Matthew 1:21 tells us Jesus birth was planned for to save us from sin. God saw Him before sending Him.
Remember, He so much believed in you He put a part of Himself into you; His Spirit! Genesis 2:7 (KJV) says, “And the LORD God formed man of the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living soul.” You have the life of God in you. You were made in the likeness of God. Walk in that consciousness in this new year and beyond and see yourself changing levels in all areas of life.
You need to draw close to God more than ever before in this year 2024 to know who you are and why you are here on earth.
