BIBLE READING: EXODUS 27, 28; MATTHEW 21:1-23
“And all things, whatsoever ye shall ask in prayer, believing, ye shall receive” Matthew 21:22 (KJV)
This is an open cheque that shows God’s liberality with his resources, his power and his salvation. God gives liberally to everyone that ask from him by faith in Christ Jesus.
Unfortunately, many people ask for the wrong things or things that have no eternal value. When a sinner asks for forgiveness and salvation, God will respond with salvation. If he chooses to ask for money, food or clotting instead of salvation, it simply shows that he lacks understanding. Unfortunately many people fall into this temptation to satisfaction their carnal cravings at the expense of the salvation of their souls.
What will you ask from God today knowing that He is willing and able to meet the need? What is your greatest need in life that you will ask the Father today to meet? Whatever you ask for shows your priority. Will you ask Him to forgive your sins, to save your soul, to give you the Holy Spirit or will you be satisfied with asking for money and material things?
God is not only interested in your spiritual life, He is equally concerned with your total well being. However, in asking, you must get your priorities right so you can make the best of every opportunity that each day offers you. What is your greatest need for today? Ask by faith in the name of Jesus.
Prayer: Dear father, reveal your son Jesus to me today in Jesus name.
