TOPIC: CREATING ATMOSPHERE OF PRAISE
“But thou art holy, O thou that inhabitest the praises of Israel.” – Psalms 22:3 (KJV)
Do you know that as a believer you can create the kind of atmosphere that you want around you through your thoughts, attitude and words?
How your day goes and pans out is totally up to you to decide and create. The bible says in Proverbs 23:7, “For as he thinks in his heart, so is he…” This means that your life is a direct reflection of your thoughts and while you might not have control over weather or the people’s choices and decisions, you sure have control over your thoughts! You can decide which atmosphere you want to function in.
Don’t go around negative, bitter, filled with regrets and wondering, “how come nothing ever works for me?” These kinds of thoughts are toxic, and it doesn’t create the atmosphere for God to dwell in because our text says that God dwells in the praises of Israel. The praise of the believer is God’s tabernacle – His dwelling place.
When you are thankful and give God praises rather than complain, you create the right dwelling for God to work wonders in your life. No wonder the bible says in Philippians 4:8 “Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things.” Where you fix your thoughts is what determines your atmosphere!
Rather than going around being pessimistic and expecting the worst, you can create a positive atmosphere of expectancy by giving God praise and you will see His power released to turn the situation around.
The bible tells us how the people of Moab, Ammon and other allied armies came together in battle against Judah and king Jehoshaphat. The armies were in multitudes, and it didn’t look in the natural like they could win but when they turned their faces to God, He told them in 2 Chronicles 20:17, “Ye shall not need to fight in this battle: set yourselves, stand ye still, and see the salvation of the LORD with you, O Judah and Jerusalem: fear not, nor be dismayed; to morrow go out against them: for the LORD will be with you.” God was with them in their praises!
2 Chronicles 20:19 says, “And the Levites, of the children of the Kohathites, and of the children of the Korhites, stood up to praise the LORD God of Israel with a loud voice on high.” When the nation of Judah raised their voice to praise God, they created the right atmosphere and in the midst of apparent defeat God fought for them and great was their victory.
Your praise is God’s tabernacle – His dwelling place and as you continually stay thankful and grateful you can be rest assured that there will always be miracles around you.
DECLARE: Father, I thank you because all things are working together for my good. I carry the right atmosphere for praise and miracles in Jesus name.
