Bible Reading: Numbers. 23; 24; 25. Mark: 7:18-37
“And were beyond measure astonished, saying, He hath done all things well: he maketh both the deaf to hear, and the dumb to speak” – Mark 7:37 (KJV)
Jesus in His earthly ministry proved beyond measure that indeed He is the light that lighted up all men. He demonstrated goodness wherever He went. He exercised authority for the deliverance and wellbeing of humanity. He was really the good shepherd that carried the burden of His sheep.
From the verse above, the observers and recipient of His divine love confessed that He has done all things well. Please note the word used ‘all things”. He raised the dead (Lazarus and the only son of the widow of Nain), He calm the raging sea, He cast out demons, He healed the blind etc. all of His action was to bring succour to humanity and the downtrodden. He took the pain of humanity in exchange for His love and mercy. He became the man of sorrow, He was beaten and traumatized for the sake of bringing liberation to man from satanic oppression.
Actually He has done all things well. He came to rescue the battered human race from the stranglehold of the enemy. He eventually paid for our sin, which is the strength of Satan’s legal hold, with His life and blood. Isaiah 53:3-8 clearly paint the picture of our suffering messiah who has done all things well including His substitutional death. His passion and purity provided Him the platform for an excellent disposition – He has done all things well. No one possessed with so much love will miss out from such commendation. Jesus is a product of love who came on a mission of love from God the Father who Himself is LOVE. Though He was on an errand of love from the father, His love and passion granted Him fervour for the accomplishment of the greatest task in the history of divinity and humanity.
Presenting it vividly let us reproduce here the amplified version of Isaiah 53: 6-7(amplified) “All we like sheep have gone astray, we have turned everyone to his own way: and the Lord has made to light upon Him the guilt and iniquity of us all. He was oppressed, (yet when) He was afflicted, He was submissive and opened not His mouth, Like a Lamb that is led to the slaughter, and as a sheep before her shearers is dumb, so He opened not His mouth”. Indeed our LORD and Saviour has done all things well. What a perfect LOVE!!!.
My dear reader will you miss out on this?
Prayer: Father help me to fully appreciate your love in redemption.
