Bible Reading: Job 20-21; Acts 10:25-48
“And He said unto them, Ye know how that it is an unlawful thing for a man that is a Jew to keep company, or come unto one of another nation; but God hath showed me that I should not call any man common or unclean” – Acts 10:28 (KJV).
God created everything and everyone for a purpose. Man was created to serve and bring glory to God. But not every man is aware of the purpose of their existence here on earth. No wonder a lot of people are living lives contrary to the way the Creator purposed. This is one reason why Christians and all who believe in Jesus must go out and preach the good news.
Peter and the early disciples initially preached to Jews only until God revealed to him that no man, the nation or tribe or religion notwithstanding, is common or unclean. This paved the way for the message to be taken to the Gentiles. We must do same to people of every tribe, languages, or nation, or religion.
Preaching of the good news is a rescue mission for the perishing world. Yet not all welcome this message, because of the blindness caused by the devil (2 Corinthians 4:4). Inspite of the rejection, we must all continue to speak out and let God do His work on His creation. He desires that all men be saved.
Action Point: Talk to somebody about Jesus today, especially people from other religions and watch what God will do when next you come across that soul.
