Topic: God does not want you to perish
Bible Reading: Ezekiel 45-46; 2 Peter 3.
Memory Verse: “The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance.” 2 Peter 3:9 (KJV)
There was a testimony of a man named Moses who was very loose. He was sexually immoral. He could sleep with anybody including children. Whenever he came back from school, parents were always watching over their children, boys and girls, and keeping them inside their houses so that Moses would not defile them. He was that notorious. One would have wondered why God did not kill such a person. But God is very patient with us and is interested in saving each and everyone of us. This is why 2 Peter 3:9 (KJV) says, “The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance.”
Then someone preached to Moses and he gave his life to Jesus Christ and he became so zealous for God just like he was when he was in the other world. He would preach to anyone that came across him and after his people observed him and saw real changes, they began to allow their children to go near him and the one who was a devourer became change agent! Moses became a willing tool in the hands of God that he did many miracles and he became a man that people were seeking for! That is what God does. If he had killed Moses when he was notorious for sexual immorality, he would not have become a great tool in the hands of the Almighty God.
Are you having any serious challenge that you are almost losing hope on yourself or you have someone that is a nuisance because of his wickedness? raise your hands to Almighty God and seek his face over your situation or the life of that man. He that transformed brother Moses is the same yesterday, today and forever. Remember he did the same for Saul of Tarsus and he became Apostle Paul.
God wants to redeem everyone and he expects you to be an instrument for bringing souls from hell to him. The more you delay in preaching the gospel to these people, the more time you are giving them to continue their wickedness.
However, you cannot preach the gospel unless you have accepted Him as your Lord and Saviour and you are truly living for Him because you cannot give what you do not have.
Prayer Point:
Father, please open the eyes of Your disciples to the locations of the unreached so that they can preach the gospel to them and save them from ultimate destruction, in Jesus name.
