Bible Reading: Genesis 3,4; Matthew 2
“And when they were departed, behold, the angel of the Lord appeareth to Joseph in a dream, saying, Arise, and take the young child and his mother, and flee into Egypt, and be thou there until I bring thee word: for Herod will seek the young child to destroy him” Matthew 2:13 (KJV)
God created everything for a purpose. Every life is meant to fulfill a set objective. We were created to be a blessing to the world such that will bring glory to His name. However, whenever God reveals His plan for His people the enemy swings into action.
Every great destiny will be contended with by the devil. Immediately after God blessed the first human couple, Adam and Eve, and letting them know the purpose why they are on earth, the devil swung into action and caused them to sin. Adam and his wife, Eve, were driven out of their original home. The devil does not want God’s plan to be actualized in our life.
However, God lovingly gave man another chance through the person of His Son, Jesus Christ, to come to the earth to redeem man from his sins. Again, the enemy tried to put an end to this plan through Herod, the King of Jerusalem. Herod slew all the children that were in Bethlehem from two years and below just to get to the baby, Jesus.
Just like Adam and Eve, and our Lord, Jesus Christ, every great destiny will face Challenges, especially posed by the devil. But we are ordained to scale through because God leads us through. So if you are experiencing challenges in that area where you have heard waited and heard God tell you to proceed, never you give up no matter the prevailing circumstances. Follow God through and through and you will be a blessing to your world.
Action plan: Write out all God has spoken to you that you are yet to actualize. Begin to thank Him for success in these areas, praise and worship Him as He reveals the steps you need to take to move forward.
