Bible Reading: Ezekiel 47-48; 1 John 1.
Memory Verse: “And it shall come to pass, that every thing that liveth, which moveth, whithersoever the rivers shall come, shall live: and there shall be a very great multitude of fish, because these waters shall come thither: for they shall be healed; and every thing shall live whither the river cometh.” Ezekiel 47:9 (KJV).
The Bible talks of pool of Bethesda in Jerusalem, the bank of which where several people with infirmities stay trying to get in first whenever an angel troubles the water as such a person would be healed ( John 5:1-4). This water needed the intervention of an angel before it could perform the healing function. Besides, it could only perform the healing on one person at a time. However, there is another river flowing which heals anything and anyone it comes in contact with as long as the water is allowed to flow through the thing or the person. Ezekiel 47:9 (KJV) says “And it shall come to pass, that every thing that liveth, which moveth, whithersoever the rivers shall come, shall live: and there shall be a very great multitude of fish, because these waters shall come thither: for they shall be healed; and every thing shall live whither the river cometh.”
That river which comes from the sanctuary is Jesus Christ. Whoever He flows through gets healed and restored. Whatever your circumstance is, just allow Him to influence you by submitting yourself to Him as your Lord and Saviour and the living water shall cleanse you and make you whole.
This restoration is free but you must be ready to hand over all your life to him so that the water can bring back to life every dead thing in your system. He is a jealous God and does not share his glory with anyone. Exodus 34:14 (KJV) says, “For thou shalt worship no other god: for the LORD, whose name is Jealous, is a jealous God:” It is also interesting that in addition, He can also give you all that you need as long as you are willing to obey Him and live your life in accordance with His words. Luke 11:9 (KJV) confirms, “And I say unto you, Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you.”
You might have known some believers that do not seem to enjoy these benefits, you need to recognize that God deals with us individually. If you choose to study his words in the Bible and obey Him rather than relying entirely on what people tell you about the Bible, you will find out that you can live a limitless life because our God is limitless and he expects you to deal with Him in total belief of who He is and what He can do.
If you have not accepted Jesus Christ as your Lord and Saviour, you need to confess your sins to Him, promise not to go back to those sins anymore and accept Him as your Lord and Saviour with a promise to live in total obedience to His words and He will accept you. On the other hand if you have accepted Him but your life is full of dead situations, you need to examine your living whether it is in total conformity with the word of God or not. If it is, then call on hitm to show you why you are in the current situation (Jeremiah 33:3).
Prayer point:
Father, let your living water flow over my soul today and restore every good thing that is dead in my life in Jesus Christ’s name.
