Bible Reading- Nehemiah 13; Hebrews 1:8-14
“God, who at sundry times and in divers manners spake in time past unto the fathers by the prophets, hath in these last days spoken unto us by his Son, whom he hath appointed heir of all things, by whom also he made the worlds” – Hebrews 1:1-2(KJV).
The importance of the Son, Jesus Christ, in the redemption of man is beyond human understanding; only in eternity will we know its full details. The reason for the exaltation of his Son by the God of all ages is not far- fetched. In fact, the Scripture sheds light on this: “Thou hast loved righteousness, and hated iniquity…” This God of all ages is regularly on the look -out for that individual that will put sin far away from his abode no matter the coloration that people of the world may give to it.
Do you want God to confer on you the grace of sonship? If yes, then you must hate sin and fully be in perpetual love with righteousness. For this to happen in the life of any man it is important to know that you must not live after the flesh, “for if ye live after the flesh, ye shall die: but if ye through the Spirit do mortify the deeds of the body, ye shall live. For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of God” – Romans 8:13-14(KJV). How often do you put to shame or embarrass the works of the flesh in your life?
Nothing exists without the knowledge of this God of all ages as the scripture reveals “And, Thou, Lord, in the beginning hast laid the foundation of the earth; and the heavens are the works of thine hands: They shall perish; but thou remainest; and they all shall wax old as doth a garment; And as a vesture shall thou fold them up, and they shall be changed: but thou art the same, and thy years shall not fail” –Hebrew 10-12(KJV).
However, it is also good for you to know that this unchanging God, who laid the foundation of the earth, shall also fold it up at the fullness of age just as He did in the days of Noah. It is therefore good to get this understanding and enter into an enduring relationship with Him. Until this is done, you can never have any throne with God, neither would He anoint you with the oil of gladness above thy fellows. You will also not have the opportunity of being ministered to by the angels of God (Hebrew 1:13-14). If you have not heeded the voice of this God of all ages why not arise now and do the needful?
