…Spreading the gospel of Christ

Bible reading, Gen 5,6,7

“And it repented God that He made man on the earth.” – Gen. 6:6 (KJV)

The most remarkable thing concerning the Old world is the destroying of it by the deluge, or flood. God spoke of the abounding iniquity of that wicked world; He saw the wickedness that is among the children of men that every imagination or purpose of the thoughts of man’s heart was only evil continually. This was the bitter root and the corrupt spring. Man’s heart was deceitful and desperately wicked; the habit and disposition are all evil.

In our text Gen 6:5-6, God saw that the wickedness of man was great on earth and it repented God that He made man on earth. The spirit of God strove with men, by sending Enoch, Noah, and perhaps others to preach to them. But the Lord declared that his spirit would not strive with men always; He would leave them to be hardened in sin, and ripened for destruction.

God is not a respecter of persons (Acts 10:34), He can destroy the whole world and save just one man and family. Nevertheless, there was a man called Noah, who had found Grace in the sight of the lord, and God instructed him to make an ark to save himself and his sons that He may establish His covenant.

What is man that God is so mindful of him? What is it in man that entitles him to so much notice by God? Why has He made so many arrangement for His comfort? Why has He done so much to save him?.

God had made us in His image and likeness, every time God sees us He sees Himself. A loving and merciful Father, His compassion are always directed to man’s coming back to what man use to be in Adam before the fall. God always wants to establish a relationship between us and Himself. Thanks be to God for His only begotten son who he has sent to pay the price for our sin, to redeem us that sons of men will become the sons of God.

My dear reader, that same God cares about you, He loves you, He never wants you to perish in sin, Jesus loves you and died for you. Right where you are now, it does not matter what you have done, it does not matter where you are from, it does not matter who you are , JESUS is still calling you, YOU CAN START ALL OVER AGAIN. Today! Make Jesus the lord of your life and He will give you a brand new life, a brand new start. Vow to make this new start with Jesus this 2019, and you will never be the same again in Jesus name.

Prayer:
Lord, I acknowledge that I am a sinner and I cannot help myself, come into my heart, wash me by your precious blood. Make me whole again,  create in Me a new heart and renew your spirit within me in Jesus name, Amen.
