Bible Reading: Psalm 103
“Who forgiveth all thine iniquities; who healeth all thy diseases;” – Psalm 103:3 (KJV)
Four people brought a man sick of palsy to Christ in Capernaum and Jesus first forgave him his sins before healing him. This account is in Mark 2:1-12. Why? Because the Lord knows that sin is often the cause of sicknesses and so he goes to the root to deal with such sicknesses. It is therefore important for you to do regular spiritual check up to ascertain your obedience to the word of God. Fortunately, we serve a God who can forgive our sins and also heal us completely. With him, there is no sickness or disease that is incurable!
That is why, he is the greatest Healer! Some eighteen years ago, I decided I was not going to take medicine again but would rely on God for my divine health. And for ten years, I did not take any drug. Not that I was not sick but once I called on him, I would be well until I fell into sin and God allowed the devil to deal with me. After my prayers and the sickness refused to go, my wife put me under pressure and I had to take the medicine to get well. Interestingly, the sickness relapsed and I was happy it had gone only for it to reappear and it refused to go even with the medicine. I therefore went to the Lord in prayer again and promised to run away from the sin in my life which led to the sickness.
It’s been over seven years now that I made the promise, I have remained healthy without taking any medicine! Psalm 103:3 KJV, “Who forgiveth all thine iniquities; who healeth all thy diseases;” God does not only forgive us our sins but also gives us divine health as long as we are truly obedient to him.
You can also avail yourself of this divine health by living a life that is pleasing unto God through total obedience. In addition to this, you need to do regular physical exercises to keep your body fit? The bible says in 1 Timothy 4:8 (KJV), “For bodily exercise profiteth little: but godliness is profitable unto all things, having promise of the life that now is, and of that which is to come.” So it’s important to do regular body exercises to keep the body in good shape in addition to pleasing God in our lives. Whatever sickness or disease in your body today, you shall receive healing this moment in Jesus name.
Prayer: Father, have mercy on me, forgive my sins today and make me whole in Jesus name.
