Genesis 10,11; Matthew 5:1-24
“Ye are the light of the world. A city that is set on a hill cannot be hid.” Matthew 5:14 (KJV)
In the bible book of John, Jesus described himself as the way, the truth and the life (John 14:6). And John 1:4-5 (KJV) says, “In him was life; and the life was the light of men. [5] And the light shines in darkness; And the darkness comprehended it not.” All those who are true disciples are to walk in that light.
Again, in John 12:36a, Jesus said, “While ye have light, believe in the light, that ye may be children of light.” Only those who believe in Him will eventually manifest that light that gives life to men. Light is important because it chases darkness away. And darkness is easily seen and manifested everywhere in the world.
Jesus has given us his nature to be a blessing to the world that’s why He told His disciples in Matthew 5:14a, “Ye are the light of the world.” And remember, as the father sent Him, same way He has sent us (John 20:21). So know your true nature, especially since you are an ambassador of heaven. Let your heavenly status be seen manifestly wherever you step your foot after the order of Jesus.
In your office let your light shine. In your business, home, neighbourhood, etc, darkness begins to disappear as you appear. Remember, darkness does not negotiate with light, No! It disappears at the instance of light.
Prayer: Father, let my light shine everywhere I step my foot today to Your glory, in Jesus name.
