Bible Reading: 1 Kings 19, 20; Luke 23: 1-28
“My meat is to do the will of him that sent me, and to finish his work.” – John 4:34 (KJV)
Food is very essential for sustainability of life. Anyone who is poorly fed shall be deficient and be less efficient in the delivery of his daily assignments. Africa nations are grossly suffering from lack of food and this is daily seen on the road as the number of those who are begging for what to eat is increasing. Today, many homes find it difficult to have just one meal and this is causing a serious havoc in the society. The rate of theft and robbery has increased significantly and many have resorted to engage in what is below moral standard just to keep body and soul together.
But, as good as the physical food may appear, it cannot be compared with the type of food Jesus Christ pointed the attention of His disciples to when they returned from where they went to get food. This food is purely doing the will of God. The question now is what is the will of God? To engage in what pleases Him which advances the kingdom of God and at His own time not haphazardly or your own time. Many of us have missed out of the will of God for our lives but we can still retrace our steps. Food has robbed some the opportunity to serve the will of God in the life of people God brought their way. Jesus Christ never did that! If you have not known the best food for your life prior now, it is doing the will of God. Locate it now before your time expires! That is the best food ever.
Prayer: Dear Father, help me to constantly pursue Your will while my time lasts in Jesus Christ name.
