Memory Verse: “For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.” Romans 6:23 KJV
The book of John 10:28 (KJV) explains eternal life to us, “And I give unto them eternal life; and they shall never perish, neither shall any man pluck them out of my hand.” So eternal life is everlasting life from now till eternity. It is a gift that everyone should covet as it offers a guaranteed today and future. In the world of investments, investors always search for guaranteed return on investments as it makes the investor to have peace of mind. In such cases, the level of investor’s peace of mind is dependent again on the capacity of the guarantor. Where your guarantor is rated triple A by rating agencies, then you feel quite comfortable and where the rating is quite low such as tripple B, then you can as well acknowledge that you do not have a guarantor. When you find a tripple Aaa rating investment with great return, it will be the delight of every investor.
In our case, the guarantor is God the son, the Lord Jesus Christ himself! The one who created all things (John 1:3). So you are certain of the promised future. Based on this, everyone should be searching for this opportunity of having a great life here on earth and in heaven! How do you access this great opportunity? It’s only through the guarantor, the Lord Jesus Christ. The Bible says in Romans 6:23 (KJV) “For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.” Accessing it through the Lord Jesus is also simple; it involves a bit of sacrifice of making the decision to stop committing sins and living a life of total commitment to Jesus Christ. This you do by confessing your sins, asking for mercy and forgiveness from the Lord Jesus Christ, accepting him as your Lord and Saviour and making a promise never to go back to the sinful life and promising to obey Jesus Christ to the end.
This is quite simple but it’s important to note that you need to maintain your position of obeying Christ till your departure from the earth. It is an everlasting covenant to get an everlasting guaranty. But some have taken this decision in the past and are now neither for Christ nor for the devil. They tend to play both sides but Jesus is quite clear on this. Revelation 3:15-16 (KJV), says “I know thy works, that thou art neither cold nor hot: I would thou wert cold or hot. [16] So then because thou art lukewarm, and neither cold nor hot, I will spue thee out of my mouth.”
There is need to wake up and examine your life to know where you belong. No matter how small the sin, the wages of sin is death. So gather your loins and rededicate your life to Christ so that you can have the gift of eternal life.

Father, in the name of Jesus Christ, please help me to live a life above sin so that I can have eternal life.
