Bible Reading: Psalm 105:1-45
“Until the time that his word came: the word of the LORD tried him. The king sent and loosed him; even the ruler of the people, and let him go free” – Psalm 105: 19-20(KJV).
Indeed God’s wisdom is embedded in his word. God sent His word to Joseph in his dreams preparing him for the assignment set out for him. Joseph’s faith in the Word of the Lord in his dreams (Gen. 37: 5-11) was tested severely while he was in irons, in Potiphar’s house and in prison. He never wavered in the Divine revelation and purpose. He feared the LORD and kept himself undefiled. His love for God and trust in the God of his fathers was unabated even in the face of severe suffering and imprisonment. He preferred to be imprisoned innocently than to sin and live in freedom.
His word came, and the king sent for him and loosed him from bondage, and let him go free. His word came in the form of the interpretation of the king’s dream. The wisdom from above operated in his life and released to him the interpretation of the king’s dream. A Jewish slave was overnight elevated from slavery and imprisonment to the position of a prime minister by divine wisdom. By wisdom he became the ruler of the people, and a teacher of Egyptian senators. He did not acquire any formal education but yet was made “to bind his princes at his pleasure; and to teach his senators wisdom” – Psalm 105:22(KJV).
Divine wisdom is transformative and creative. Let us do a simple mathematical analysis. If a = c and b = c, it therefore goes that a = b. In John 1:1-3, the Word of God was with God in the beginning and the Word was God. By the Word all things were made and nothing was made without him. In 1 Corinthians 1:24, the bible affirmed Christ as the power and wisdom of God. In Proverbs 3:19(KJV), the scripture stated: “The LORD by wisdom hath founded the earth; by understanding hath established the heavens.” It therefore means that Christ that is the Word, the power and wisdom of God, and by Him (wisdom) has God founded the earth. The scriptures talks about the mystery that had been hid for ages which is now made manifest to us and in Colossians 1:27(KJV) it stated thus: “To whom God would make known what is the riches of the glory of this mystery among the Gentiles, which is Christ in you, the hope of glory.”
By redemption we have the mind of Christ (1 Cor. 2:16) and consequently, Christ dwells in us. What this therefore means is that by redemption we have the power and the wisdom of God dwelling in us. We possess the creative and transformative power of God in us to excel on this earth and this is properly embedded in the Word of God. THIS IS THE LOT OF THE REDEEMED OF THE LORD!!!
Prayer: Father, give me the grace required to stir up the wisdom of God in my life.
