Bible Reading: Isaiah 20:1-6
“Put not your trust in princes nor in the son of man, in whom there is no help” – Psalm 146:3(KJV)
There is a natural tendency to look up to some man for help whenever we are in need. It is so because we can see the man presently and assess his capability to assist based on what we see. But more often than not, we end up in disappointment. The Bible counsels in Psalm 146:3 not to put your trust in princes and man.
Yet, the prescription is to look unto Jesus, the author and finisher of our faith (Hebrews 12:2). To remember that walking in faith means not to see things as they are because appearance is nothing. To know that faith calls to existence those things that we cannot see (Romans 4:17). To trust in the love of God.
The Lord will send you help today and meet that earnest need.
Prayer: As I look up to you today Lord Jesus, justify my faith in God. Amen.
