Bible Reading: 2 Chronicles 25, 26 & 27; John 16
“So Jotham became mighty, because he prepared his ways before the LORD his God” 2 Chronicles 27:6(KJV)
The secret behind great men in scriptures is their alignment with God. When we work with God and put our trust in Him we become recipients of divine help which translates to greatness, power and mightiness among men. The bible said in Psalm 62:11(KJV) “God hath spoken once; twice have I heard this; that power belongeth unto God” So when a man’s life pleases God he makes him a recipient of His power. The three Kings of study in today’s scriptural reading were helped by God when they sought after Him. God is known as all powerful God which means that He is the custodian of all powers. God freely releases power to those who prepare their ways before Him. When we diligently seek after God and completely trust and depend on Him he will always show Himself mighty on our behalf. 2 Chronicles 26:5(KJV) records concerning King Uzziah who took over the mantle of leadership at a tender age of sixteen years; “And he sought God in the days of Zechariah, who had understanding in the visions of God: and as long as he sought the LORD, God made him to prosper” Whosoever diligently and fervently follow after God will and always be mightily helped by God. God must as a matter of certainty defend His name and uphold His integrity. He will always rise to the defense of His people. If we desire to be helped by God let us be totally sold out to Him. When we dwell in the secret place of total trust and dependency we will abide under His mighty shadow. He becomes our refuge and fortress. No security can be as sure and secure like making God our habitation. The security derivable from living for God is beyond human comprehension.
Making Christ Jesus your Lord and Saviour is tantamount to having bulwark of defense around you. The bible says in Colossians 2:9-10(KJV), This is our exact position in Christ. The force behind not accepting Christ is Satan. My dear reader it is time you rebuked Satan and ask the enemy to go behind you. Today is the acceptable day for your salvation tomorrow maybe too late. Jesus is the custodian of all powers for in Him dwells the fullness of God head bodily, accept Him and be properly fortified by Him.q
