Bible Reading: Psalm 70 & 71; Romans 8:21-39
“Likewise the Spirit also helpeth our infirmities: for we know not what we should pray for as we ought: but the Spirit itself maketh intercession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered” Romans 8:26 (KJV)
Jesus’ ministry on earth was very successful because of the presence of the Spirit of God in His life. He, by the assistance of the Spirit, did all the Father sent Him to do here on earth. Whenever He prays, the Father hears Him because He prays according to the Will of The One who sent Him.
As the Father sent Jesus, the same way the Son sent us too (John 20:21). He prayed God’s Will into manifestation. We have been given this privilege of having this awesome Spirit of God guide us like He did Jesus on earth, even in our prayers. Prayer is simply speaking out the Will of God through the mouth of the believer. It is the believer asking in prayer for the Lord’s will to be done.
Only those who know the Will of God can pray effectively. Without being guided by God’s will people pray and pray amiss (James 4:3). But thank God for His Spirit, who searches the heart of the Father and connects with our spirit making us understand the will of God and helps us pray accordingly. As we do, we see manifestations all around us.
Even as you begin this day, ask for the Spirit to guide you in prayers to bring you into the Will of God for you or any body you are being led to pray for. God answers prayers guided by His Spirit.
