Bible Reading: Daniel 3, 4; 1 John 5
“If it be so , our God whom we serve is able to deliver us from the burning fiery furnace, and he will deliver us out of thine hand, O king.” – Daniel 3:17 (KJVS)
A woman was full of pain and agony after witnessing the killing of her parents as a teenager and she remained a girl of sorrow. She grew up with the pain without any support from anyone nor any knowledge of anyone that could set her free from her bitterness or rescue her from pain. But then she met Jesus later in life and she was freed from her bitterness and in replacement she had joy!
It does not matter what you might be going through, there is a deliverer who does not collect any money from anyone. He says in Matthew 11:28 (KJVS), “Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.” He is a true deliverer who will take away your burden and give you joy”.
However he expects you to believe in Him and trust Him that he can do all things! This is what happened to the three Hebrew boys we read in Daniel 3 where they were asked to deny their God or be dumped in a fiery furnace. But because they have faith in God, they stated categorically in Daniel 3:17 (KJVS), “If it be so , our God whom we serve is able to deliver us from the burning fiery furnace, and he will deliver us out of thine hand, O king.”
It’s amazing that they were ready to suffer physical harm for their faith because they knew God could deliver them. He can also deliver you irrespective of what challenges you are facing. However he expects some basic things from you to set you free. First, you must accept him as your Lord and Saviour, live a life that pleases Him by obeying His words, have a strong belief that He will set you free irrespective of how long you have been held captive and of course, call on Him telling Him the situation of things with you. He will set you free just as He did for the three Hebrew boys. Not only were they set free, the fire did not touch any of them and they became heroes and finally, their action led to more souls being won to Jesus. The King declared in Daniel 3:29 (KJVS), “Therefore I make a decree, That every people, nation, and language, which speak any thing amiss against the God of Shadrach, Meshach, and Abed-nego, shall be cut in pieces, and their houses shall be made a dunghill: because there is no other God that can deliver after this sort.”

Father please set me free from every power that holds me captive in Jesus name.
