Topic: GOD’S KINGDOM
Bible Reading: Genesis 15,16,17; Matthew 6:1-17
“Thy Kingdom come. Thy will be done on earth, as it is in heaven” Matthew 6:10 (KJV)
The theme of the bible as a whole is all about God’s kingdom. And Christ is the King of that kingdom. He came to the earth to show us firsthand what that kingdom looks like and groomed people who will be in that kingdom with Him.
Gods plan was to extend the heavenly kingdom to the earth, with man in charge here on earth. He gave this responsibility to Adam. The first man, sadly, gave away that right to the devil who now corrupted the plan for man here on earth. Jesus, however, came in the form of a man to rescue us from the clutches of the evil one and restore man to his rightful place.
We saw all that the kingdom of God offers when Jesus was on earth. The blind received their sight, the deaf were healed, sicknesses were taken away from people and even the dead were raised up. People were forgiven of their sins and therefore must forgive others too of their sins. In fact Jesus pointed out in Matthew 6:14 (KJV), “For if ye forgive men their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you.”
We are now members of that kingdom. We are representatives or ambassadors of heaven on earth. And a vital requirement which God Himself looks out for is our constant agreement with His plan of replicating heaven here on earth. So we are commanded to pray “Thy Kingdom come. Thy will be done on earth, as it is in heaven” Matthew 6:10 (KJV).
Kingdom advancement prayer is every believers responsibility to see God’s plan and purpose fully replicated here on earth.
Action Plan: Set out time to pray for the salvation of souls, the healing of the sick and signs and miracles to be manifested all through this month and beyond.
