…Spreading the gospel of Christ

Bible Reading: Isaiah 22:1-end

“The watchman said, The morning cometh, and also the night: if ye will enquire, enquire ye: return, come” – Isaiah 21:12 (KJV)

“In a dream, in a vision of the night, when deep sleep falleth upon men, in slumbering upon the bed. Then he openeth the ears of men, and sealeth their instruction” – Job 33:15-16(KJV). Coming from our yesterday’s discuss, a discerning mind converts the night season in his life to a period of preparation. “I call to remembrance my song in the night: I communed with my own heart: and my spirit made diligent search” – Psalm 77:6 (KJV). Under such preparation knowledge is acquired which shortens one’s night season and launches him into a new dawn of a great day. The night season then becomes a night of seed sowing.

The day season is a period of activities and much voices that is typified by mass movement from place to place, changing positions to higher altitude and a period of reaping and harvesting for those who turned their night seasons to seed sowing time. The day utters speech that is heard across the land. Everyone in life passes through these two major seasons of day and night. People pass through these seasons at different times and individual’s attitude and mindset determine the outcome.

For a Christian hear what Apostle Paul had to say, “Ye are the children of light, and the children of the day: we are not of the night, nor of darkness” -1 Thessalonians 5:5(KJV), Why so? Because they that are in Christ Jesus by divine discretion turn their night into a time of studying his word, and by the Holy Spirit acquire knowledge of the word which is light. Jesus is the word and he is the light who now abode in us to eliminate darkness and converts our night into day by lighting up our night season. “And the light shineth in darkness; and darkness comprehended it not” – John 1:5 (KJV). The knowledge of the truth releases light. Night is typified by darkness which inhibits movement and is invaded by silence. The silence and darkness of the night invokes fear which is a tormentor creating an atmosphere of restriction of movement. Such is the characteristic of captivity, which requires the knowledge of the truth to be emancipated. “And ye shall know the truth and the truth shall make you free” – John 8:32(KJV). It therefore means that a man enters his night season a captive under restriction of movement and influence of darkness, but can find his way out by acquiring the knowledge of the truth – Jesus Christ. “Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the father, but by me” – John 14:6 (KJV).

Prayer: Father give me the grace to remain in your light perpetually
