Bible Reading: Daniel 9-10; 2 John 1.
Memory Verse: “But the prince of the kingdom of Persia withstood me one and twenty days: but, lo, Michael, one of the chief princes, came to help me; and I remained there with the kings of Persia.” Daniel 10:13 (KJV).
The Christian race requires patience amongst other virtues. No wonder it is part of the fruit of the Spirit. ( Galatians 5:22-23). If you are a child of God and noticed that you are short tempered, you need to go on your knees and seek the face of God for patience and He will grant you. A number of people have lost their blessings because of their inability to persevere. A man was said to be digging the ground for a mineral and after several days of digging without success, he abandoned the project. Someone else acquired the field and dug for a short period and found the mineral! If only the person who started had been patient a little more, he would have gotten the mineral. What are you seeking for that appears not coming? Just seek the face of God and wait on him. As long as it is not against the word of God and you keep asking Him for guidance, you will succeed. Just be persistent!
In our Bible reading for today, Daniel fasted and prayed for three weeks but no answer came to his request. However he stayed and was expectant, then he experienced the supernatural. An angel came to him and told him that his prayers were heard and answered the very day he prayed but an agent of the devil delayed the angel bringing the answer and Angel Gabriel had to go to rescue the angel with the answer. Hear the words of the Angel: “But the prince of the kingdom of Persia withstood me one and twenty days: but, lo, Michael, one of the chief princes, came to help me; and I remained there with the kings of Persia.” Daniel 10:13 (KJV).
You might have been praying for days, months or longer and your prayers appear not to have been answered. Don’t despair, remain resolute in your belief and continue to seek the face of God on the issue until your joy is full. He will certainly answer your prayers and put an end to your challenge. Delay is not denial. If you are in such a situation, turn your prayers to praises eulogizing yhim and recounting His blessings upon your life and certainly, your requests shall end up in a great testimony to His glory. However, this will be so if you already have Jesus Christ as your Lord and Saviour. In case you have backslided or not given your life to him yet, please confess your sins and dedicate/rededicate your life to Jesus promising not to go back to those sins anymore. Then He will hear you and answer your prayers.
Prayer: Father, thank you for answered prayers in the past and I trust that my current request is answered, I am only waiting for its manifestation in Jesus Christ’s name.
