Topic: GOD’S KINGDOM (PART 2)
Bible Reading: Genesis 18,19, 20; Matthew 6:18-34
“But seek ye first the Kingdom of God, and it’s righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you” Matthew 6:33 (KJV)
The Kingdom of God is about God asserting His power here on earth. For many years after the fall, man was under the rule of the evil one. He suffered untold hardship under the direct rulership of this evil one. God allowed the devil for a while for it was man who handed authority over to him.
The bible says in Ecclesiastes 3:11a (GOODNEWS), “He has set the right time for everything..” Jesus came in the power of the Holy Ghost at the “right time” or God’s time. Jesus gave us the condition of entry into the Kingdom, “Repent of your sins and believe the good news” Mark 1:15 (NLT). Repentance is a requirement as you must first renounce all ties with the ruler of this world and then you start renewing your mind. If you don’t repent and renounce all ties genuinely, it will be difficult to really get the word of God into your heart.
To genuinely be a part of this Kingdom, Matthew 6:33 (KJV), “… seek ye first the Kingdom of God, and it’s righteousness; “ You must think the Kingdom first in anything you do. Hunger and thirst for God’s presence manifesting all around you. The manifestation of His presence is the ultimate proof of His Kingdom. At Jesus’ presence devil’s surrendered, sicknesses cleared the way and the dead came back to life.
Remember, no one puts new wine into old wineskins (Matthew 9:17). A lot of people after salvation find it difficult to renew their minds after the order of the Kingdom of God. Reason, they put the cart before the horse. Before you “..desire the sincere milk of the word, that you may grow thereby” 1 Peter 2:2 (KJV), one must consciously and then by the help of God’s Spirit, “… lay aside all malice, and all guile, and hypocrisies, and envies, and evil speaking” 1 Peter 2:1 (KJV). Only then can renewal begin to have effect.
It’s is a Kingdom of righteousness, peace and joy in the Holy Ghost (Romans 4:17). So you must be committed to walking in righteousness by forcefully breaking away from the sinful practices of the human race by the help of the Holy Ghost. If you desire this Spirit to come to your aid, you must accept Jesus as your Lord and Saviour today if you must walk in that Kingdom of righteousness. You can only enter the Kingdom on God’s terms and condition.
Prayer: Father, I thank You for the grace to be part of Your kingdom. Let Your Presence continue to follow me all through my life.
