Bible Reading: 2 Kings 4, 5, 6; Luke 24: 28-53
“Now when the sun was setting, all they that had any sick with divers diseases brought them unto him and he healed them.” – Luke 4:40 (KJV)
Many of us do not appreciate what we have until we lose it. Some are wealthy but sick. Some are pauper and at the same time sick. The Bible is replete with instances such as Lazarus who was full of sores (Luke 16:20), and the wealthy Naaman who was a leper (2 Kings 5). We can value good health better if we have ever been struck with one sickness or the other which actually prevented us from moving from one position to the other.
Healing, however, is of various forms, emotional healing, psychological healing, and healing from a diagnosed ailment which is affecting your physical body amongst others. The degree of the healing is not a problem to the One who has actually made Himself available for that purpose. The account of Matthew is explicit in this regard “And when evening came, they brought to him many possessed with demons. He cast out the spirits with a word, and healed all who were sick. That it might be fulfilled which was spoken through Isaiah the prophet, saying, “He took our infirmities, and bore our diseases” – Matthew 8:16-17 (New Heart English Bible).
No matter the sickness in your body, God has a word which is powerful enough to drive it out. Tell Him now and receive your meat.
Prayer: I take my healing in the name of Jesus Christ.
