Bible Reading: Ps. 74, 75 & 76; Romans 9: 17 -33
“For He said to Moses, I will have Mercy on whom I will have Mercy, and I will have Compassion on whom I will have Compassion” – Romans 9:15 (KJV).
This emphasizes the freedom of God’s mercy. His overflowing compassion cannot be controlled by humans. He has purposed and chosen to have mercy on all people. But it is up to people how they will respond to God’s love and mercy. God wants to show mercy to those who repent (i.e., who admit and turn from their own rebellious way), accept God’s forgiveness and surrender their lives to Jesus as Lord and Saviour (the Leader and authority in their lives). “For His Mercy is on them who fear Him from generation to generation” – Matt 1:50 (KJV).
God’s merciful purpose does not change for any person or nations
