Bible reading: Proverbs 13-14; 1 Corinthians 16
Memory verse: “There is a way which seemeth right unto a man, but the end thereof are the ways of death” Proverbs 14:12 (KJV)
The way we see the world and life in general will help determine how we live in it. Many see themselves as strangers in this world, hence rely on those who were here before man came. There is a being who existed before the world and created the earth we all live in and hold so dearly. Sadly, many refuse to follow the instructions laid before them by the creator of the heavens and the earth.
God the creator of everything in the world brought us here to worship Him and follow His leading if we are to enjoy our stay here on earth. Jeremiah 10:23 (KJV), “O LORD, I know that the way of man is not in himself: it is not in man that walketh to direct his steps.” God is the only one that knows tomorrow, including yours. He reveals the path to take through wisdom and revelation. So it is wise to follow Him at all times.
Many have cut short their own lives by going after their own ways. The path seem so fine to them and they wonder why anyone else, including God could have a different opinion. But the thing is, evil is deceptive; it only takes the wisdom and revelation from God to discover it from a far. It offers so many promises but aims at taking one outside of God’s plan. When you are outside God’s plan for your life you are in danger. Where there is no protection or direction from God, death and destruction is around the corner.
King David followed God all through his life and never lost any battle. Jesus Christ our Lord and saviour was able to achieve what He did becauseHe relied and depended on God who sent Him setting an example for us to follow. Paul followed that example of depending on God by imitating the footsteps of Jesus and became a pillar in the church.
Learn to follow the ways of God even when you don’t understand. That is where the peace and happiness you desire lies.
Prayer: Father, i depend on You by Your grace. Reveal Your ways to me daily in my walk on earth.
