Bible Reading: Isaiah 32 & 33: Colossians 1
“And, having made peace through the blood of his cross, by him to reconcile all things unto himself; by him, I say, whether they be things in earth, or things in heaven” Colossians 1:20(KJV).
The Blood that Jesus Christ shed at Calvary is the blood of the everlasting covenant between God and humanity. The Word of God became incarnate in order to carry the two personality of God and man making him proper and fit to be the one whose blood is appropriate to establish the covenant. This is the mystery of God to man. In the old dispensation God established different offerings such as sin offering whereby the blood of animals were used for atonement. Leviticus 17:11(KJV) says, “For the life of the flesh is in the blood: and I have given it to you upon the altar to make an atonement for your souls: for it is the blood that maketh atonement for the soul” When the blood is administered in an agreement between one, two or many people, that agreement becomes a biding covenant. Such covenant cannot be broken by any of the party and it is irrevocable. There are severe consequences when any of the party to the covenant goes contrary to the terms of the covenant. When Christ was slain at Calvary His blood which came from a hundred percent God and hundred percent man was used to seal the new testament, Christ became the Mediator between God and man.
The power in the blood of Christ is unlimited just as it is of the Spirit and the Word of God, and this three bear witness on earth. The blood of Jesus is multidimensional in operation. It can be applied in invoking the mercy of God, it can be used to nullify any satanic covenant, it is a mighty instrument for spiritual warfare, it is use to purge your conscience from dead works, it is a sanctifier etc. Just as the blood of the lamb invoked divine vengeance against Egypt setting the Israelites free, so also does the Blood of Christ deliver divine vengeance against the forces of darkness to set humanity free. The Blood of Jesus carries tremendous and unlimited power that is above human comprehension.
My dear reader, you urgently need to accept Christ into your life to become a beneficiary of the working power in the Blood of Christ. The efficacy of the Blood of Christ is not contestable. As the blood of sprinkling it defends you from every evil attack. I beseech you today to use this opportunity to be under the coverage of the Blood of Christ.
