Bible Reading: Dan. 11,12, Jude.
“Keep yourselves in the love of God, looking for the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ unto eternal life.” – Jude 1:21 (KJVS)
Love of God has no limit. It cannot be described as it is incomprehensible. It’s the love that strengthens us, that makes way for us when there are no ways. It’s the love that forgives us our sins and makes us saints. It’s the love that gives you favour that you do not deserve. It’s the love that gives you a comforter, teacher and a guide. It’s the love that is unconditional and is ever present for you.
That is the love that made Jesus to die for you and wipe away all your atrocities at a go! Imagine a man who had participated in the killing of a king’s children and kept working for the enemies of the king and when the king laid his hands on him, rather than punish him, he forgave him and began to use him to tell others about Him. That is a glimpse of the love of God.
To be in this love, Jesus Christ said you must be of his kingdom, and you cannot be in that kingdom except you are born again. John 3:3 (KJVS) says, “Jesus answered and said unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God.”
Also you must live a life of holiness, otherwise you cannot see Jesus Christ as stated in Hebrews 12:14 (KJVS), “Follow peace with all men , and holiness, without which no man shall see the Lord:” In addition you should continuously seek for the mercy of Jesus Christ. Jude 1:21 (KJVS), “Keep yourselves in the love of God, looking for the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ unto eternal life.” It is expected that he that seeks for mercy must himself be merciful. The Lord Jesus Christ teaches in Luke 11:4 (KJVS), “And forgive us our sins; for we also forgive every one that is indebted to us. And lead us not into temptation; but deliver us from evil.”
You should be a man of faith. Hebrews 11:6 (KJVS), “But without faith it is impossible to please him : for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him.” You can only dwell continuously in the love of God by faith. And to build that faith, you need to pray continuously in Holy Ghost. Jude 1:20 (KJVS), “But ye, beloved, building up yourselves on your most holy faith, praying in the Holy Ghost,”
Prayer point:
Lord Jesus Christ, please have mercy on me and keep me in your love.
