Bible Reading: Psalm 47, Revelation: 6:1-8
“Saying with a loud voice, worthy is the Lamb that was slain to receive power, and riches, and wisdom, and strength, and honour, and glory, and blessing.” – Revelation 5:12(KJV)
Christ Jesus died to rest the authority and power to the earth that was legally handed over by Adams due to sin. Christ came as a man full of righteousness and battled Satan to a standstill to retrieve our lost glory and place in the order of divine creation. Among what Christ received on our behalf from God, in the greatest contest of all ages, is wisdom, strength, honour, glory and blessing. We will continue our review of this seven fold inheritance from where we stopped yesterday.
WISDOM
Christ died to replicate in us the wisdom of God that He is. In Isaiah 11: 1-3 we were made to understand that rod (the word) out of the stem of Jesse and a Branch (Jesus Christ) shall grow out of his root. Jesus Christ had resting upon him the seven Spirit of God among which is the Spirit of wisdom. We were also told he was made of quick understanding in the fear of the LORD. Jesus Christ is the power of God and the wisdom of God (1cor. 1:24) and the scriptures says in 1 Corinthians 2 verse 16b; “But we have the mind of Christ.” This automatically confers on us wisdom as bona fide members of the family of God the wisdom in Christ. We have been ordained as candidate of mental excellence.
STRENGTH
This represent health, vitality, energy and might. By redemption we have been packaged for divine health, we are to bask in vitality. He took all our infirmity and bore them on his body at the cross in exchange for divine health for us (Isaiah 53: 3-8, Matthew 8:17). He bore the healing of our illness in his body as stripes (1Peter 2:24). He has also given us the Spirit of might.
HONOUR
By his death he has received for us honour. Honour is positional, and as the scriptures says in Rev. 5: 10(KJV), “And hast made us unto our God kings, and priest: and we shall reign on the earth” kingship and priesthood are positions that attract honour. By his death at the cross, Christ eceived for us ability to reign in all areas of life that will attract honour to us. “………..if any man serve , him will my Father honour” John 12: 26b(KJV).
GLORY
Glory is affluence. God has, through Jesus Christ given us all thing required for us to a glorious life. “According as his divine power hath given unto us all things that pertain unto life and godliness, through the knowledge of him that hath called us to glory and virtue”. We are called unto glory not shame and dishonor. When glory comes shame disappears. We are ordained for progression.
BLESSING
Be his death we have moved from curse to blessing (Gal. 313-14). The blessings of God is a spiritual force that empowers things to go well for us. Blessing refers to everything good (see Psalm 34:10, Psalm 23:6). “Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ who hath blessed us with all spiritual blessings in heavenly places in Christ”
It is a most enviable life to live basking in the abundance of the sevenfold inheritance we have in Christ Jesus.
Prayer: Thank you for making me a recipient of the sevenfold inheritance in Christ Jesus.
