TOPIC: LIVING THE LIFE OF GLORY
Bible Reading: Leviticus 10-12; Matthew 26:1-19
“To whom God would make known what is the riches of the glory of this mystery among the Gentiles; which is Christ in you, the hope of glory” – Colossians 1:27 (KJV)
One of the things the gospel does to you as a child of God is to give you hope. It is the hope of a glorious life – a life of victory, dominion, peace, joy and increase. Once you have received and you begin to walk in the realities of the gospel, you have found your way out of troubles.
Apostle Paul in Colossians 2:6 said to the church, “As ye have therefore received Christ Jesus the Lord, so walk ye in him,” The same way you received the Goodnews of what Jesus has done for you and by the Spirit of God you made a decision to believe and confessed Him as Lord, that is the same way you must choose the Goodnews of what He has done for you over the negative evil reports of the devil and keep the right confession. This is how to ‘walk’ in Christ.
The hope of a glorious life comes by daily beholding the realities of the gospel because there is so much bad news and despondency outside the life and redemption that you have in Christ Jesus. When evil seem to parade the place, keep your eyes on God’s Word that says, in Colossians 3:3 (KJV) , “For ye are dead, and your life is hid with Christ in God.” Glory to God! As a believer your life is first hidden in Christ, then you’re both hidden in God which makes you impervious to evil, shame and frustration.
You must also declare what you believe because your destiny isn’t in your hands, it is in your mouth. God said in Numbers 14:28 (KJV) , “…as ye have spoken in mine ears, so will I do to you.” Jesus said in Mark 11:23 (KJV) , “For verily I say unto you, That whosoever shall say unto this mountain, Be thou removed, and be thou cast into the sea; and shall not doubt in his heart, but shall believe that those things which he saith shall come to pass; he shall have whatsoever he saith.” What you have is what you are constantly saying. Steer the direction of your life with your word for a glorious life.
You don’t have to go to heaven to live the glorious life. The hope of the gospel is what removes every form of shame from your life. It doesn’t matter whether the situation looks terrible on the outside and the timelines elapse, you know that everything is working out in your favour because you have the Word in your heart and in your mouth.
Our text says in Colossians 1:27 that the mystery of the Christian life is, “.. Christ in you, the hope of glory.” It means that because the resurrected Christ lives within your spirit man, you can expect your life to move from glory to glory, from beauty to beauty!
Prayer: Father, thank you because I have Christ Jesus living in me and I know that the resurrection life of God is in me.
