TOPIC: LET TOMORROW BE
Bible Reading: Leviticus 10-12; Matthew 26:1-19
“Take therefore no thought for the morrow: for the morrow shall take thought for the things of itself. Sufficient unto the day is the evil thereof” – Matthew 6:34 (KJV)
If for nothing, the Word of God is therapeutic! It can keep your mind in perfect peace if you will learn to rely completely on it. Proverbs 3:5 (KJV) says, “Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and lean not on your own understanding.” A ‘trusting’ heart will never worry nor fret.
When we don’t know God’s ways of doing things, we find ourselves struggling to make it through life and a lot of times we become frustrated and we begin to wonder why everyone around us is happy because miserable people aren’t happy when they see others happy. Misery always seeks company.
The Psalmist says in Psalms 27:4 (KJV), “One thing I have desired of the Lord, that will I seek: that I may dwell in the house of the LORD all the days of my life, to behold the beauty of the LORD, and to inquire in His temple.” For the Psalmist, God’s presence is the difference maker.
When the presence of God is with you, it doesn’t matter what is happening around you, in your community or your country, God will definitely keep you and preserve you because it is His presence – not your own ability – that makes the whole difference. With the owner and ‘knower’ of tomorrow there is no reason to fret in life.
Worry is dangerous because it affects you physically and changes your life negatively. Jesus said not to worry or be anxious about tomorrow because two things that can destroy your happiness today are the regrets that you have about your yesterday and the fear and dread that you have of tomorrow. Don’t be afraid of the future. Live and enjoy the moment and allow tomorrow be.
When you make the presence of God your pursuit, you will be a happier person because all that fills your heart is His grace and unconditional love for you.
Psalms 37:4 (KJV) says “Delight thyself also in the Lord: and he shall give thee the desires of thine heart.” When you make God your greatest pursuit, your greatest desires come to you with ease. Be a happy person in God, enjoy every single day and allow tomorrow be.
Prayer: Thank You Father for the gift of today, I choose to enjoy each day as a gift from You as I trust You with my tomorrow in Jesus name.
