…Spreading the gospel of Christ

WORD MEDITATION: 10/08/2022

Bible Reading: Psalm 88-89; Romans 10.

Memory Verse: “For the scripture saith, Whosoever believeth on him shall not be ashamed.” Romans 10:11 (KJV).

A number of times, one is faced with a situation that appears shame is at the corner. Such situation may be financial, social, health or even spiritual. In all these situations, if you are right with God, you can be assured that you will not be put to shame. Look at Romans 10:11 (KJV), “For the scripture saith, Whosoever believeth on him shall not be ashamed.”

All you need to address the situation is to believe that you will not be put to shame, ensure you are on the right side of God and if not, quickly repent of your sins and make a sincere promise not to go back to those sins and accept Jesus as your Lord and Saviour. Thereafter, sincerely call on the Lord and ask for a way out of the challenge. You will need to use relevant passages of the Bible that speak about similar things.

For such prayers, ensure you express thanksgiving to God for his various blessings in your life, then sing praises unto him. Remember Psalm 100:4 (KJV), “Enter into his gates with thanksgiving, and into his courts with praise: be thankful unto him, and bless his name.” After you have worshipped the Lord, then you commence your request stating the underlying Bible passages and asking that He does the same for you. When you finish your request, conclude by thanking Him for answering your prayers. It is important that you ask God believing that He will answer you. James 1:6-7 (KJV) says, “But let him ask in faith, nothing wavering. For he that wavereth is like a wave of the sea driven with the wind and tossed. [7] For let not that man think that he shall receive any thing of the Lord.”

After praying, please stay at your prayer position for a few minutes waiting for God to talk with you. However if you cannot hear till you close your prayer, please ensure you are attentive as you go about your usual activities throughout the day and even thereafter because, God will speak with you though it may be at a time you are not expecting Him. That is why you must be sensitive to what the Spirit may be ministering to you at all times.

Prayer: Father, please cover my nakedness at all times in Jesus name.
