Bible Reading: Genesis 27,28; Matthew 8:18-34
“But the men marvelled, saying, What manner of man is this, that even the winds and the sea obey him!” -Matthew 8:27 (KJV)
All sons of God are expected to take after the firstborn Son, Jesus, who showed us Who God is, and what He can do in the lives of people. In fact, as children grow into adults, so also, believers are expected to go through the process of becoming mature christians.
God, from the beginning of time is full of wonders. Merely looking at His works will fill you with awe! His wonders in Egypt separated God’s people from the heathens. Jesus, His son, manifested the Godlikeness in him when he came to the earth. And as the Father has sent him here on earth, so has he sent us to become representatives of heaven on earth (John 17:18).
He was so at peace, sleeping even in the midst of a storm that the disciples had to wake him up and asked for help (Matthew 8:24-25). He arose and rebuked the winds and the sea, and there wasa great calm. Two things to note here. To become a person that will cause others to marvel, you must first come to Christ like the disciples did, and trust and obey every Word instructions he gives. Remember, even Jesus takes instructions from his father.
Those situations that have posed a challenge to you will begin to bow to you and give way as you grow into sonship. Storms become calm when a son of God appears on the scene, thereby causing others to marvel at you
