TOPIC: TAKE RESPONSIBILITY
Bible Reading: Leviticus 14; Matthew 26:55-75
“For every man shall bear his own burden” – Galatians 6:5 (KJV)
Christianity is a relationship between God and man. He is our Father and we have His life in us. The very essence of God is what we have in us as eternal life.
This means no situation or circumstance is beyond the new creation in Christ Jesus but many people have not learned to take responsibility for what happens in their lives. They wait for God to do for them what God has equipped and empowered them to do.
Jesus taught emphatically in Mark 11:23 (KJV), “For verily I say unto you, That whosoever shall say unto this mountain, Be thou removed, and be thou cast into the sea; and shall not doubt in his heart, but shall believe that those things which he saith shall come to pass; he shall have whatsoever he saith.” He didn’t say we should call on God to address the mountains that we face rather He says for us to open our mouths and address the mountain and command it to jump into the lake.
God has always entrusted man with the responsibility of calling things what they should be. Genesis 2:19 (KJV), “And out of the ground the Lord God formed every beast of the field, and every fowl of the air; and brought them unto Adam to see what he would call them: and whatsoever Adam called every living creature, that was the name thereof.” God brought created things to Adam and entrusted him with the responsibility of calling them ‘whatever’ he wanted and they were exactly what he called them. God didn’t do for Adam what He empowered Adam to do.
The operation of faith by speaking is the creative tool of the new creation in Christ Jesus and it is our responsibility to use our faith in any situation and see it turn around.
The very faith and abilities of God came pre-installed in you at the new birth. 2 Peter 1:1 (KJV) says, “Simon Peter, a servant and an apostle of Jesus Christ, to them that have obtained like precious faith with us through the righteousness of God and our Saviour Jesus Christ:” The faith of God by allotment has been parceled out to every one of us but it will be of no use if we don’t rise up and use it.
Through faith, you can take responsibility for your own life and stir it in the right direction of whatever you see in the Word of God. Refuse the devil’s temptation and rise in the power of God’s eternal life in you and take charge.
Prayer: Father, engrace me to take full responsibility and consciously release my faith by speaking victoriously.
