Bible Reading: Ezra 1,2; John 19:22-42.
“When Jesus therefore had received the vinegar, He said, it is finished: and he bow His head and gave up the ghost” – John 19:30 (KJV).
Our Lord, Jesus Christ, repeatedly said He was sent to the world to do the will of His father. And He showed the world some of the things His father in heaven willed to be done on earth. He raised the dead, healed the sick, fed the hungary, gave sight to the blind, taught about the Kingdom, amongst others.
Shortly before His death He said, “It is finished.” This means that the work He was sent to do on earth was done, and the results shall continue. His earthly mission has been accomplished, He fulfilled all the prophesies about Him, victory over Satan and His demons, and reconciled God with sinful humanity.
All who believe in Jesus Christ can continue to draw on the work accomplished on the cross. Nobody can add to it nor subtract from it. It is done. Testimonies abound of many walking in the manifestation of this finished work in all areas of life. Don’t be left out, accept Christ today if you have not, and walk in the reality of His finished work in your life.
Prayer: Father, thank you for the finished work of Christ in my life.
