Bible Reading: Isaiah 26:1- 21
“Thou wilt keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on thee: because he trusteth in thee.” – Isaiah 26:3 (KJV)
Faith is central to the life of a believer. Trusting God when nothing seems to work and God’s promise appears so distant. Holding on to every promise in your Bible as assured to happen.
The peace of God is a mystery. It works in total disregard of what a person is experiencing. In lack or plenty, in fear or confidence, in suffering a loss or having an increase. That peace passes all understanding. Philippians 4:7(kjv) says, “And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.”
For even in the most positive occurrences of life, a man could still lack peace. The peace of God is not gotten by wealth or estates acquired, but by a total and absolute trust in God. The peace of God ruled in Daniel’s heart in the lion’s den (Daniel 6:21-22).
The stability of faith is in absolute trust in God. This brings the peace of God, incomparable and able to withstand all manner of threats. The three Hebrew men said to King Nebuchadnezzar that they would trust God no matter what the King would do to them. Halłelujah! (Daniel 3:16-18). The peace of God gives you calmness in the face of live threatening storm.
Prayer: I am grateful Lord for your peace granted to me as I trust you in all things.
