“For in him dwelleth all the fullness of Godhead bodily. And ye are complete in him, which is the head of all principality and power” Colossians 2:9-10(KJV)
As it were nothing can be added to completeness. In Christ alone can be found the fullness of the Godhead in reality or bodily. The fullness of Godhead cannot be found in the philosophy of man, vain deceit, and human tradition both of the Jews and Gentiles or the world principles. The Jewish traditional institutions were mere shadows of the realities and of the redemption made through the offering of the body of Christ in sacrifice (Hebrew 10:1-18). Christ is the personal and bodily manifestation of all the fullness of God. The fullness of the Holy Spirit rested upon Him and worked through His body (Isaiah 11:2, John 3:34), He was God incarnate and the manifestation of all the fullness of God’s power and blessing to men (Isaiah 9:6), the fullness of redemption from God came through His body (1 Peter 2:24). This is why we are complete in Him and why He is the head of all principality and power (Colossians. 1:16-18). Nothing can be added to our completeness in Christ. Christ is He that is full in power and glory, and for us in every area of life we are complete in Him. Any other addition by traditions of men, new discoveries, visions and sensuous feelings is false and must be avoided. In all aspect of life such as spiritual, material, financial and intellectual we are complete in Christ. Christ is the consummation of sacrifice for sin acceptable to God. We are complete in Him who is the head of principality and power, He whom God set at His own right hand in the heavenly places, “Far above all principality, and power, and might, and dominion, and every name that is named, not only in this world, but also in that which is to come” Ephesians 1:21(KJV)
My dear reader you can see our completeness in Christ which is an enviable position that God has also called you into. You cannot afford to be loose in this wicked and perverse world. You cannot afford to stay outside the protective canopy of the Almighty God. Jesus is your assurance of peace and an umbrella of divine protection from the ravaging powers of evil. COME AND ENJOY COMPLETENESS IN CHRIST.
