TOPIC: FAITH MOVES TO ACTION
Bible Reading: Leviticus 14; Matthew 26:55-75
“By faith Noah, being warned of God of things not seen as yet, moved with fear, prepared an ark to the saving of his house; by the which he condemned the world, and became heir of the righteousness which is by faith.” – Hebrews 11:7 (KJV)
What prompts you to do the things you do? Is it flesh, performance, show, self-effort, ego, competition or the Word of God? Faith must be based on what God has said! Just like Noah, we should be building ‘our arks’ because we are being prompted by faith to act upon what God has asked us to do. There is no way you can be in faith and be a failure. Faith is established on the confident assurance of God’s inability to fail. You can’t be standing on God’s Word and be put to shame. Romans 10:11 says, “…Whosoever believeth on him shall not be ashamed.”
The book of Hebrews 11 archives different accounts of men and women of little or no repute who chose to believe in what God said rather than what their situations masqueraded to them, and they did extraordinary things.
Despite the figures, statistics, or analysis, bible faith will always take sides with the Word against all. Someone prompted by God’s Word doesn’t complain because he is confident in God’s Word. Faith will always insist on what is its own because it won’t bulge at the tricks of the enemy. (Hebrews 11:35) Faith keeps saying the same thing that God says because faith knows that God doesn’t lie. “God is not a man, that he should lie; neither the son of man, that he should repent: hath he said, and shall he not do it? or hath he spoken, and shall he not make it good?” – Numbers 23:19 (KJV) .
Faith in God moves mountains and changes situations “For verily I say unto you, That whosoever shall say unto this mountain, Be thou removed, and be thou cast into the sea; and shall not doubt in his heart, but shall believe that those things which he saith shall come to pass; he shall have whatsoever he saith.” – Mark 11:23. Faith makes the world stand still and brings desires to pass as it prompts you to do the ‘unreasonable!” It will make you sow certain seeds even when you don’t know where the next money is coming from. Faith is higher than reasoning and it will motivate you to take action. The anatomy of faith is such that once it is released in God, it moves heaven and earth. It excites the Father to know that He is the only person you are looking up to and He never fails. Glory be to God forever!
Refuse to succumb to what everyone thinks and resist the pressure of trends. Submit to God’s plans for you, stay at it and like Noah who despite living in a time and place where there was no record of any rainfall, constantly took giant steps in building the ‘ark’ that God showed him because he knew a flood was coming. Allow faith to prompt you today.
Prayer: Father, I thank you for your plans, purposes and promptings for my life even today. Help me to act on them in Jesus name.
