Bible Reading: Isaiah 27:1-end
“Open ye the gates, that the righteous nation which keepeth the truth may enter in” – Isaiah 26:2(KJV)
The matching order for the swift implementation of this prophecy in Isaiah 26:2, which is referred to as the ‘Great Commission’ was given by Christ in all the synoptic gospel. “Go ye therefore, and teach all nations…” – Matthew 28: 19a(KJV). “Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature” – Mark 16:15(KJV). “And that repentance and remission of sins should be preached in his name among all nations, beginning at Jerusalem” – Luke 24:47 (KJV). In John 14:6(KJV), “Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life no man cometh unto me the father, but by me.” This scripture, by extension, means that the gospel of Christ is the gospel of The Truth, and the gospel of Life. Jesus Christ is the truth and by him all things were created. The people of God who have accepted Christ into their life constitute what is referred to as the Kingdom of God. They are scripturally referred to as a holy nation (1 Peter 2:9). This is the nation that the prophet Isaiah speaks of when he said: “Open ye the gates, that the righteous nation which keepeth the truth may enter in” – Isaiah 26:2(KJV). In another scriptures, Christ reiterated the unstoppable nature of the advance of this righteous nation that is the custodian of the truth in Matthew 16:18 (KJV), “And I say also unto thee, thou art Peter and upon this rock I will build my church, and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it.” No power can destroy truth or resist its advancement. That has been the case of the advancement of the gospel of Christ from Jerusalem (Acts 1:8).
The power of the gospel of truth being advanced by the church has broken heavy satanic chains binding nations, destroyed ancient satanic gate imprisoning kingdoms, and has brought revelation and light that opened up mysteries that has given birth to breakthroughs in areas of science and other human endeavours. It has also dethroned dictators and despotic rulers and established shepherd leadership across nations.
The gospel of Truth, in addition to being irresistible, carry along with its advancement the inherent blessings of God that transformed families, cities, kingdoms and nation. The entrance of the gospel of truth dispels darkness and accelerate positive development. Nations that opened their gates to the advancement of truth have witnessed tremendous transformations in both spiritual and physical development. All over the ages the entrance of truth to any nation has brought elevation and light to the people. Entrance of truth is light and it is a dispeller of darkness. Advancement of Christianity into many nation has been responsible for their transformation in all aspects of life. Truth is the custodian of wisdom, knowledge, and understanding. Our God is a God of truth and it is by truth and mercy he directs the affairs of humanity, hence He requires that they that will serve Him must do so in truth and in spirit, “God is a Spirit: and they that worship Him must worship Him in spirit and in truth” – John 4:24 (KJV). One important aspect of the advancement of truth in any nation is the establishment of peace. Peace and righteousness are products of truth. When truth comes righteousness is established, and the dwelling place of righteousness is peaceable habitation.
My dear reader, strive to embrace Jesus Christ as your Lord and Saviour and he, being the truth, will cause the peace of God to flow into you and lead you in righteousness. By his death at Calvary he has endowed you with his righteousness in exchange for your sin which was removed by his blood,.
