BIBLE READING : Proverb 13; 14; 15; 2 Corinthians 5
For we walk by faith, not by sight” 2 Corinthians 5:7(KJV)
The believer’s walk is a faith walk. To walk by faith is to walk in the spirit. It is to walk by the word of God. Faith walk is obedient walk, obedience to the leading and instructions of the Holy Spirit and the word. The natural man walks by sight by following the five senses. His choices, decisions and actions are guided by the sense of sight, feeling or touch, hearing, smell and taste. These senses are limited because there is a spiritual dimension to life. The five senses cannot perceive spiritual realities, this places the faith walk in advantage, he perceives what the natural man cannot perceive. Things are not always the way they appear, the eye of faith sees beyond physical and natural appearance into another dimension of existence.
Walking with God will demand faith because God is a Spirit and so only faith can enable us to access him and relate with him. Faith sees what the natural eye do not see, hears what the natural ear do not hear and feels what the natural man do not feel. Faith is able to believe God without sense evidence and get God’s result. Faith enables one to connect the invisible and intangible realities and convert them to tangible and visible form that the senses can grasp. In the midst of challenges, contradictory and hopeless sense evidence, faith continues to believe and lay hold on substantial results. You need faith to do business with God.
Prayer : O Lord, keep my faith alive.
