BIBLE READING: 2 KINGS 6-8, JOHN 4:31-54
Memory Verse: “Say not ye, There are yet four months, and then cometh harvest? behold, I say unto you, Lift up your eyes, and look on the fields; for they are white already to harvest”. John 4:35 (KJV)
We are already in the last days and the enemy is working harder more than ever before to have more people end up in hell. We can see through the strategies he is using to deceive and lure people away and the world is fast following suit. There is increase in evil everywhere. All these point to one reality. The end is here. While the enemy is fast taking men captives, the believer ought to sit up and take the responsibility of reconciling men back to God. We are to work twice as harder to bring lost souls to the knowledge of Christ. “And he said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature” Mark 16:15 (KJV)
The believer’s drive is to see that many come to the saving grace of our Lord Jesus Christ. We are expected at this time to go all out for a great harvest of souls. Why? Because the harvest is ripe and there is no more time. Jesus himself understood the urgency of this matter so he said in John 4:34 (KJV), “Jesus saith unto them, My meat is to do the will of him that sent me, and to finish his work”. The Master is in need of labourers to go into the field to harvest souls and he is counting on you and me to do this work. Now is not the time to play church. Are you a faithful labourer? Its either you are in or out.
There is no more time to waste. Luke 10:2 says “Therefore said he unto them, The harvest truly is great, but the labourers are few: pray ye therefore the Lord of the harvest, that he would send forth labourers into his harvest”. Jesus was filled with the desire to win souls. What drives you? Look at the field. Time is fast running out. There is joy waiting for the believer who labours to bring in harvest of souls at the end. Will you be that labourer?
Prayer: Lord, please empower me to be a soul winner.
