Bible Reading: Numbers 13-14; Matthew 27:23-44
God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble.” – Psalm 46:1
As a believer, God is forever with you regardless of the situation that you face or go through. Jesus has become our ‘Emmanuel’ which means God is with us (Matthew 1:23).
When the trials and challenges of life come to believers, one of the lies the devil often tells believers is that “God is unhappy with them and He has left them.” The devil makes them believe that the reason they are going through those times is because God is unhappy and has left them. This is far from the truth because the Word of God clearly tells us in Hebrews 13:5, “… for He Himself has said, “I will NEVER LEAVE you nor forsake you.” God will NEVER leave you nor forsake you. God is ever present.
The Psalmist understood this when he said in the 23rd psalm when he wrote, “Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff they comfort me.”
That God given assignment is not beyond you. God is with you and has multiplied your strength. Your capacity for performance has increased and nothing can stop you. Romans 8:31 says, “What shall we then say to these things? If God be for us, who can be against us?”
God has not left you even for one day! Don’t believe the lie of the devil. Stand up in faith and begin to take those bold steps again. The Father is with you and He is looking at you and saying to you, “ Go in this strength that is yours”
Prayer: Father, thank you for Your ever present presence with me always.
