TOPIC: WALK IN THE TRUTH
Bible Reading: Ezra 6-8, John 21
“I have no greater joy than to hear that my children walk in truth.” 3 John 1:4 (KJV)
Beyond being born again, the Father’s desire for every child of His is that we all grow up and walk in the full knowledge of the truth. Paul, writing to his son, Timothy, said in 1 Timothy 2:3-4 (KJV) says, “For this is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Savior, who desires all men to be saved and to come to the knowledge of the truth.” God wants us to come to the knowledge of the truth.
It is possible to be a good consecrated Christian and still not walk in the ‘knowledge’ of truth of scripture in certain areas of your life.
The word ‘truth’ is not the opposite of a lie as some suppose. To walk in the knowledge of the truth actually means to come to full recognition of the actual reality of any matter under recognition. For example, it was common general knowledge that metals couldn’t fly in the sky but we have come to recognize that is not true anymore because of airplanes. We have come to the knowledge of the truth concerning flying objects!
It is the same with healing. Medical science has said that some diseases are ‘incurable’ but we have our reality from God’s Word that the power of God is available to heal when we believe and receive the message of Christ’s finished work on the cross.
Open yourself up to the teaching of God’s Word and allow the Holy Spirit bring you into the realities of the things that Jesus has done for you because God’s desire is for you to grow and come to a place where you’re fully acquainted with the realities of who He is and how He operates.
God’s ultimate design and desire for you is to walk in wisdom in the affairs of life, in full dominion over the elements of this earth and the devil. This, however, is only possible as you grow in spiritual knowledge. Give attention to the Word and allow the Holy Spirit bring you into the realities of the Father.
Prayer: Thank You Holy Spirit for daily opening my eyes to the wonderful realities of God’s Word.
