And let them make me a sanctuary; that I may dwell among them”. – Exodus 25:8 KJV
In our reading of today, Exodus 25:1-7 shows us what God expects from Moses to make His sanctuary. This shows that our God is a God of details. He states what he wants particularly in his Sanctuary; just like we all know the type of house we would like to dwell.
However, in our present dispensation, the Sanctuary is our body. God wants to dwell in us as long as we are able to provide a conducive environment for him.
What then constitutes a conducive environment? It is the state of our body, soul and spirit. Are we living a life of purity? Are our thoughts pure? This is only when we can expect God to dwell in us. Thus the bible says in Exodus 25:8 KJV “And let them make me a sanctuary; that I may dwell among them“.
God is ready and willing to dwell in us that is why he tells us in 1 John4:4 that, he that is in us is greater than he that is in the world!
Are you prepared for God’s dwelling?
Prayer: Father, sanctify my heart and make me pure so that you can dwell in me oh Lord.
