TOPIC: THE MESSAGE OF THE KINGDOM
Bible Reading: Leviticus 20-21; Matthew 28
“Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost: Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you always, even unto the end of the world. Amen.”- Matthew 28:19-20 (KJV)
Jesus in His earthly ministry preached both the ‘message of salvation’ and the ‘message of the kingdom’ and we should too. The message of the kingdom means to invade our God-given spaces with the principles, presence, power and wisdom of God “But of him are ye in Christ Jesus, who of God is made unto us wisdom, and righteousness, and sanctification, and redemption:” 1 Corinthians 1:30 (KJV). Every child of God is meant to stand out and excel in his/her field as the church walks in economic dominion.
The truth that every child of God must embrace is the fact that city and national transformation can’t take place without a kingdom economy so we must start subscribing to the things that Jesus taught us about managing and producing wealth like the parable of the bags of gold (Matthew 25:14-30).
While it is good to give people relief materials in the form of food, clothing and shelter as a means to an end, it should never be an end in itself. Open your heart to the message of the kingdom, practice it and help as many people as possible to hear it. Together we are taking over our cities in the name of Jesus.
Prayer: Father, anoint me afresh with your power to impact my world through the message of the kingdom.
