Bible reading: Proverbs 20
“The just man walketh in his integrity: his children are blessed after him” – Proverbs 20:7 (KJV)
There is an old saying that says, “You can choose your friends, but you can’t choose your family.” Family is something we all have, but family can be the source of much pain, frustration, and hurt. However, God created families and it is within our families that God can receive much honor and glory.
The book of Proverbs addresses how the wise lead their families and what the results can be. Proverbs 20:7 shows us that godliness should first and foremost be modeled in the home through our daily lives. In everything you say and do, you should be modeling to your spouse, your children, or your parents what it looks like to love God and love others. The way we live out our faith within our family will directly reflect how our families live out their faith outside the family. Let us live out righteousness in our home with our families today.
