Bible Reading: Psalm 103-104; Romans 14.
Memory Verse: “So then every one of us shall give account of himself to God.” Romans 14:12 (KJV)
A testimony is given of a Christian girl who agreed to sleep with her church head of department (HOD). They chose a hotel where they felt no one known to them would see them. Then they booked the room and went in. But just about when it was time for then to start the exploit, the lady’s conscience pricked her and she told her HOD that there was someone who was watching them. The HOD eagerly asked who and how. Then the lady told him, it was the Lord! That was how their evil plan failed and they did not go ahead.
If only every Christian can remember that God is omnipresent and that no matter how hidden your action is, the Almighty is watching, the number of atrocities being committed will be significantly less! It’s noteworthy that the Bible says every man shall be accountable for every idle word spoken as your word will determine your reward. Matthew 12:36-37 (KJV) says, “But I say unto you, That every idle word that men shall speak, they shall give account thereof in the day of judgment. [37] For by thy words thou shalt be justified, and by thy words thou shalt be condemned.” So you should watch what you say.
it’s not only that you will give account of your words in the last day but you will also be called to give account of your stewardship on earth on the last day! This is clearly stated in Romans 14:12 (KJV), “So then every one of us shall give account of himself to God.” But as a true born again child of God, you should be led by the Holy Spirit and your actions should be defensible as long as you followed the leading of the Holy Spirit.
However, if you have not accepted Jesus as your Lord and Saviour then you have everything to fear as all your deeds will be brought before you on the day of judgment. Since no one can be justified by law, it is apparent you cannot be saved! But you can amend the situation now by accepting Jesus as your Lord and Saviour and He will forgive your sins and wipe out all your past errors and give you a teacher, the Holy Spirit, who will guide you in all matters of life.
Prayer point: Father, please let me finish this earthly race well and strong in Jesus mighty name.
