Bible Reading: Isaiah 45 & 46; 1 Thessalonians 3
“Turn to me and be saved, all you ends of the earth; for I am God, and there is no other. By myself I have sworn, my mouth has uttered in all integrity, a word that will not be revoked: Before me every knee will bow; every tongue will swear” – Isaiah 45:22-23 (NIV).
Here, God invites all individuals on the earth to repent (to change their heart, mind, and direction toward God, turn from their own rebellious way and give up their sin) and turn to Him for salvation. The gospel of Christ also contains the same invitation. God has commanded that his Church take this good news to the entire world (Mt. 28:19-20). The Lord desires to save all people (2 Pe: 3:9), which means that He wants to have a personal relationship with anyone who will accept His forgiveness.
Although not everyone will accept Christ and commit himself or herself to the Lord during this life, all people one day, either voluntarily or involuntarily, will bow before Christ and confess that He is Lord ((Romans 14:11).
Prayer: If you are yet to confess Jesus as Lord on this side of life, voluntarily do so now, for blessed are those who so on earth.
