TOPIC: THE SAME SPIRIT OF FAITH
Bible Reading: Leviticus 22-23; Mark 1:1-22
“We having the same spirit of faith, according as it is written, I believed, and therefore have I spoken; we also believe, and therefore speak;” – 2 Corinthians 4:13
There are believers who start out to do things but rarely ever bring those things to completion because of mental fatigue through the process. This is because their senses overrule their spirit i.e. their desire and willingness to do what they set out to do is wearing out. The way to overcome this is by being inspired by the Spirit of God’s Word!
There is a Spirit upon the Word of God that goes beyond the mere letters that we see and read. In the book of Ezekiel, the prophet said that God spoke to him saying, “… Son of man, STAND upon your feet, and I will speak to you” (Ezekiel 2:1). The moment God spoke to him, the next verse says in Ezekiel 2:2, _“And the spirit entered into me when he spake unto me, and set me upon my feet, that I heard him that spake unto me.” Beyond Ezekiel’s ability there was a supernatural ability that was infused into him that got him standing. When God speaks and we receive the Word, there is an anointing that comes into us and gives us the supernatural ability to do what we couldn’t have done in our ability. This supernatural ability to accomplish any God-given assignment is what our text refers to as the spirit of faith.
God’s Word has the power to transform and empower you to start, finish and accomplish whatever God has set out for you to do.
When this Spirit of faith comes upon you, the way you think and speak will change and you’ll be empowered to accomplish great things and bring about desired changes in Jesus’ Name.
Prayer: Father, as I hear Your Word, let the Spirit of faith arise in me to accomplish whatever I set out to do in the Name of Jesus Christ.
