“No weapon that is formed against thee shall prosper; and every tongue that shall rise against thee in judgment thou shalt condemn…..” – Isaiah 54:17 KJV.
Onward Christian soldiers, marching as to war. With the Cross of Jesus going on Before!
This lyric shows vividly that the Christian race is full of war. Hence every Christian is a soldier fighting war behind his General, The Lord Jesus! And given that Jesus never lost any war, then a true Christian will never lose a war. Hence the bible says in Isaiah 54:17 KJV “No weapon that is formed against thee shall prosper; and every tongue that shall rise against thee in judgment thou shalt condemn”.
This shows that whether you know of the war or not, you cannot lose it as long as you are right with God. That is why Isaiah 54:17b KJV says “ ……..This is the heritage of the servants of the Lord , and their righteousness is of me, saith the Lord” .
It is your heritage for evil weapons to lose their strength when it comes to you as long as you live a life of holiness. (1 Pet 1:16). That is why Jezebel said within 24 hours Elijah would be dead but she could not get to Elijah ( 1 Kings 19:2). Also the king of Isreal stated in 2 Kings 6:31 that Elisha would be killed within a day but God revealed it to Elisha (2 Kings 6:32) and so the king could not reach him. God protects his own; what is important is for us to remain in Him. And we would be protected by the hosts of heaven!
